Ford Hall Goes to Washington
Internships in Washington D.C. are incredible resume-building opportunities for students who want to work in politics, but low pay and the high cost of living in D.C. can make these internships unattainable for many students. Sponsored by the Political Science Alumni Council, FHGTW will fund up to $4,000 toward living expenses for students who plan to complete an internship in Washington D.C.
Note: you must be accepted to an internship in Washington D.C. to receive this award.

Experiential Learning Fund Grants
Student research opportunities are central to the Department of Political Science’s mission, but funding for student research, particularly at the undergraduate level, can be difficult to find. The goal of the Experiential Learning Fund is to provide more students with opportunity to pursue internships and research programs that may otherwise be out of reach due to financial constraints. Applicants must submit an updated resume, personal statement outlining their personal goals, desired program, how their grant will be used, and an estimated budget. Applicants must be Political Science undergraduate or graduate students at the University of Louisville, pursuing a degree, and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 at the time of application. Priority is given to those students who have not received this award previously. All information is required.
