FBI Internship
Our programs are designed to give students and recent graduates at every post-secondary education level a professional experience like no other. You will be given challenging and rewarding assignments to enhance your résumé and grow your professional network. Our Honors Internship Program (HIP) is the perfect opportunity to set your career in motion. Ideal for undergraduate students between their junior and senior years, as well as graduate students pursuing a master’s degree, JD, or PhD, this paid internship can be a direct pipeline to full-time employment after college. This is a unique opportunity for students to learn and work alongside our professionals.
Council on Postsecondary Education Internship
This unpaid internship opportunity will provide participants experience working with the Council’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) and Communications teams to create and implement several statewide awareness initiatives centered on Kentucky higher education’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts. This position will coordinate initiatives that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion among Kentucky’s public postsecondary institutions in alignment with the 2016 Kentucky Public Postsecondary Education Policy for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Must be a junior, senior, or Master’s degree students in higher education, policy analysis, sociology, or other related fields. Types of projects for this position may include:
- Conducting interviews of students for print publications and video recordings.
- Assisting CPE’s communications office writing blog stories centered on diversity initiatives at Kentucky’s higher education institutions.
- Compiling student quotes and photos for social media campaigns.
- Conducting student surveys and other research to aid DEI staff in their communications efforts.
- Providing feedback on CPE’s student website, especially with a focus on adequately serving at-risk students.

Presidential Management Fellows Program
This program is for recent graduates with an advanced degree—either a professional or graduate degree such as a master’s, Ph.D. or J.D. You may be eligible if you:
- Have completed an advanced degree from a qualifying educational institution or program within the past two years of the annual application opening date.
- Are a current graduate student and will complete all of your advanced degree requirements (including the completion or successful defense of any required thesis or dissertation) by August 31st of the following year of the annual application.

GAO Analyst Paid Intern
As a GAO intern, you will learn how to conduct federal audits and program evaluations and apply that knowledge as part of a team. You will assist GAO analysts in planning and conducting in-depth reviews of executive and legislative branch programs. You will collect appropriate data, analyze the data, develop data-based findings and conclusions, and present the information both orally and in writing to diverse audiences. Specific duties include:
- Planning, prioritizing, and/or balancing own work assignments, identifying feasible work management approaches that address required activities and timelines.
- Developing, identifying, contributing to, and/or using techniques, tools, and processes that are methodologically sound and targeted to job requirements.
- Collecting relevant information that is aligned with objectives/planning decisions and meets needs.
- Conducting analyses that yield quality information aligned with needs; identifying relevant information, patterns/inconsistencies, relationships, interdependencies, and potential implication.
- Preparing quality written work that meets relevant writing and evidence standards, and that is appropriately targeted to the audience and purpose.
- Communicating relevant and accurate information during formal or informal presentations, meetings, or interviews.
- Partnering or collaborating with others to address issues or solve problems; following up with others to ensure needs are met.
- Contributing to team efforts through participation in activities/meetings, soliciting and listening to others' opinions, and working collaboratively to accomplish team goals.
- Soliciting, listening to, and considering diverse perspectives, approaches, or viewpoints, and incorporating others' perspectives into decision-making (when appropriate).

World Affairs Council Internships
The mission of the World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana is to promote cross cultural awareness, education and tolerance through nonpartisan, discussions on current international issues. Traditional internships are offered three times a year– in the Spring, Summer and Fall. The WAC Fellowship is an academic-year, intensive Fellowship program aimed at students dedicated to a future career in citizen diplomacy. Minorities, individuals with disabilities, veterans, and intersectional individuals are strongly encouraged to apply.

Cardinal Cupboard Paid Internship
The food pantry is a free resource to those in the Cardinal community, and its goal is to increase access for our patrons to free healthy food options and personal care items in order to reduce their financial burden. The Cardinal Cupboard is seeking candidates with good communication and helping skills. The graduate intern will advise and supervise a team of student leaders and student workers. It is important for candidates to be able to delegate duties, but also assist student leaders and student workers with tasks essential to the success of the program.
This is a 20 hour per week commitment. It is preferable that the hours be completed during pantry business hours (Monday through Friday, 9 am – 6 pm). The hourly pay rate is $15.00. Click here for a full position description.
The Council of State Governments Internships
The Council of State Governments (www.csg.org) is the nation’s only nonpartisan and nonprofit membership organization serving all three branches of state government. CSG works with legislators to share best practices in policy and programming across all 50 states, as well as the territories. They are currently looking for fellows, both graduate and undergraduate, to work over the summer and during the school year. Fellows would conduct research on a variety of policy areas including workforce development, health, disability policy, education, and a number of other topic areas. They may also have the opportunity to work with state policy makers from all over the United States. Fellowships are paid and open to all. We are looking for driven, engaged, and dedicated students interested in political science, policy, economics, and any other areas relevant to our work.
