Mentoring Program

"The delicate balance of mentoring someone is not creating them in your own image, but giving them the opportunity to create themselves."
Steven Spielberg

We feel it is our duty to foster and enhance the development of our faculty to create an environment that promotes preferment in the School of Medicine by developing strong leadership from within. We believe that mentoring provides early opportunities for success and promotes and encourages advancement and retention by creating connections and camaraderie within the School of Medicine. Our mentoring program goal is to provide our new faculty the resources they need for early and continued success in decision-making and advancing their career.

Our mentoring program is focused on establishing the trusting mentor/mentee relationship between our new faculty and senior faculty for the purpose of professional development, job success, and workplace wellness. Our hopes are that this initiative will foster positive relationships across the School of Medicine and enhance the development of a strong core of leaders within our institution.
