It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our 2014 Urology Residency Graduate, Sara Catherine Kinsey Wells, MD of Sewanee, Tennessee.  Sara passed this life on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center at the very young age of 38.  Sara was born in Miami, Florida to Bill Kinsey and Pat Veno.  She worked as a Urologist and Surgeon at Southern Tennessee Medical Center in Winchester and was a member of the American Medical Association.  Sara is survived by her husband, Grady Wells; one son, Charlie Wells; her father, Bill Kinsey, and his wife Kate; her mother, Pat Veno; and one sister, Karen Better and her husband Mike.

Sara graduated from University of Kansas School of Medicine in May 2009.  She began at University of Louisville in July 2009 in the Department of Surgery as a PGY1 Preliminary General Surgery Intern and joined the Urology Residency Program in July 2010.  Sara was the first female urology resident to attend and successfully graduate from University of Louisville Urology Residency Program.  We were very proud to have such a strong woman in our graduating class.  She was an intuitive, intelligent, determined, and incredibly fierce young woman.  A force to be reckoned with, Sara lived life boldly and to the fullest. Our hearts go out to her family and all who loved this amazing woman.  She will forever be in our thoughts.
