Christina L. Terrell, M.D.
Dr. Terrell oversees the Emergency Psychiatric Service department, in collaboration with community mental health center and University Hospital staff. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville. Dr. Terell obtained her medical degree and completed her psychiatric residency training at the University of Louisville. She received her board certification in psychiatry in 2003. She joined the faculty in June, 2002 as the Director of the Student Outreach Program. Dr. Terrell also served as the Associate Director of Student Mental Health and was the Medical Director of the Adult Inpatient Psychiatry Unit at University of Louisville Hospital. In addition to her clinical service, she supervises residents and medical students during their EPS rotation. Dr. Terrell lectures on topics such as Management of the Difficult Patient, Suicide, and Mental Status Exam. She also serves as a Community Intervention Team (CIT) trainer with the Louisville Metro Police Department. Dr. Terrell is a member of the U of L Medical Student Admissions Committee.
