Director of Memory Disorders Program
Dr. Schoenbachler serves as director of the Memory Disorders Program and is a member of the Geriatric Psychiatry faculty. Dr. Schoenbachler provides diagnostic evaluation, medication management and psychotherapy in our outpatient service. He serves as director of the Memory Disorders Program and is a member of the Geriatric Psychiatry faculty. He received his undergraduate degree in zoology and his medical degree at the University of Kentucky. Dr. Schoenbachler completed a combined residency in psychiatry and neurology at Tulane University School of Medicine where he served as Chief Resident. He received his board certification in psychiatry in 2003. In addition to his neuropsychiatric clinical service, Dr. Schoenbachler precepts and supervises medical students and psychiatry residents and lectures on topics related to neurological disorders, ethics and psychosomatics. He has been an invited speaker at many local and national meetings.
