How long have you worked in Pediatrics? 18 years!
What is your favorite thing about your job? I get to work with folks from all areas of pediatric care and from different schools at UofL; the projects I work on can truly make a difference in the lives of children and their families.
What is your hometown?
I now live in LaGrange, however, I grew up in Simsbury, CT.
What is your favorite movie?
Mary Poppins (the first one!)
Tell us about your family:
My husband, John Abbott, is an accountant by trade, but life has sent us in a new direction, and he manages/operates the campground we now own. We have 3 kiddos: Weston (19) is an incredibly hard worker and is about to finish welding school - it is exciting to watch him get his wings and fly! Sam and Erin (13) are 7th graders at East Oldham Middle School. Erin is involved in cheer, lacrosse and Girl Scouts and Sam is a kicker on the football field, plays soccer and loves computer/video gaming.
Do you have pets?
We have Cooper, a 3-year old chocolate lab and Avery, a 9-year old black lab mix.
What are you doing, where are you going, for your next vacation?
Who knows? The twins have been clamoring to go to Disney World so that is on the list for whenever we can truly travel again.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
A singer
What is one of your proudest accomplishments?
Learning to step back and watch my kids become their own people.

I have two.... “Women belong in all places where decisions are being made.” – Notorious RBG; and “If you don’t like the road you're walking, start paving another one” – Dolly Parton.

Butter Pecan – yummy!
