How long have you worked in Pediatrics? 2.5 years
What is your favorite thing about your job?
Working with the different faculty and divisions. Even though I am not directly working with our patients and families, I feel that by supporting our faculty, I am helping them.
What is your hometown?
I was born in Kennesaw Georgia, but moved to Louisville when I was six. I was raised here and traveled home to Georgia to visit family. I consider both to be my hometowns.
What is your favorite movie?
The Harry Potter movies… I love the books too!
Tell us about your family:
I have been married to my wonderful husband Greg for almost four years. We have three boys, I am the “bonus” mom to Matthew (16) and Evan (13), and our son Harrison was born in December. We are both very close to our families, which makes holidays lots of fun.
Do you have pets?
We have a Texas Blue Heeler who is 3.5 years old in human years, named Blue. He is a goofy pup and is happiest when chasing birds in our backyard and snuggling up on the couch.
What are you doing, where are you going, for your next vacation?
Due to COVID-19, we currently do not have any big vacations planned. We hope to take the boys to the beach next summer. I am sure we will be traveling to Georgia to visit my family down there around the holidays.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I had lots of different “dream jobs” growing up, I went back and forth between being in news media or a teacher and studied both in college at WKU.
What is one of your proudest accomplishments?
One of my proudest accomplishments is being a good mom to all three of my boys and creating a home where they will grow up feeling loved and safe. Creating a home that all of our family and friends feel comfortable in and always welcome.
What is your favorite quote?
“Two roads diverged in a wood, and I – I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference.” Robert Frost
What was your first job?
I was the “breadstick girl” at Fazoli’s in Hikes Point the summer between my freshman and sophomore year of college.
What is your favorite ice cream?
Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip from Grater’s is my guilty pleasure.
