How long have you worked in Pediatrics?   I have worked in pediatrics since I graduated from the University of Louisville, as a Respiratory Therapist in 1986 (34 years). I joined the Department of Pediatrics in 1996 (24 years).

What is your favorite thing about your job? My co-workers, they are most supportive group and make working fun!



What is your hometown?
I was born and raised in Louisville.

What is your favorite movie?
I really don’t have a favorite movie and I am not one to watch the same movie over and over. I do prefer to watch action movies, nothing sad.

Tell us about your family:
I married my husband, Bruce in 1989.  We have 4 beautiful daughters and 6 wonderful grandchildren.

Do you have pets?
I am a crazy cat lady, I have 3 cats- Gus, Jax and Tiny.

What are you doing, where are you going, for your next vacation?
I haven’t planned a vacation this year, due to extenuating circumstances, but would like to go somewhere tropical.

As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I wanted to be a cruise director, as a young child. Pretty sure that was because of Julie, on the Love Boat!

What is one of your proudest accomplishments?
My 4 adult daughters are my most proud accomplishment, but I was also pretty excited when I passed the Certified Clinical Research Coordinator exam (CCRC) in Oct. 2018.

What is your favorite quote?
“This too shall pass”, is what my mother always told me, to give me encouragement during rough times.

What was your first job?
I was a cashier in the cafeteria at Sullivan University, 4 years through high school.

What is your favorite ice cream?
Salted caramel
