What is your favorite thing about your job? My patients! I look forward to seeing them every day!

3. Tell us about your family: I married my high school sweetheart, Adam. We have 3 girls. Katherine is 5, Claire is 3, and Caroline is 10 months.
4. Do you have pets? (If yes, what kind? How many?) Yes. I have 2 dachshunds. They are old and fat.
5. What are you doing, where are you going, for your next vacation? We love to travel and to take our girls. We are taking a cruise through the Panama Canal in November. We will also visit Mexico and Colombia. We always travel with our children. Last year we sailed across the Atlantic with them to Portugal and Spain. I have been inspired to travel with our children by former UL Pediatric resident and NICU fellow, Ramon Ymalay. He loves to travel and always travels with his entire family. He has a blog called thesmallworldfamily.com.
6. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? A doctor, like my dad. He was in Family Medicine. I didn’t always know what specialty I would end up in, but I always knew that I wanted to do primary care.
7. What is one of your proudest accomplishments? Our clinic. I am really proud of our growth and all of the services that we can offer to our patients. We have more than doubled our patient volume and more than quadrupled the residents who call it their continuity clinic. We offer more labs and diagnostic tests in house and services such as counselling, social work, and care coordination. It truly is a medical home for our patients.

9. What was your first job? I worked in a Pro Shop.
