The 2024 Internal Medicine Awards Day event honored the graduating trainees of the UofL internal medicine residency and fellowship programs

The University of Louisville Department of Medicine and Internal Medicine Residency Program presented the annual Internal Medicine Awards Day as an in-person event for the first time since 2019.

The event honored the trainees and faculty who maintained a strong commitment to medical education through some of the most trying of circumstances over the past three years.

"We are thrilled to gather together in person to recognize the incredible learners and teachers in our department, and remember that as an academic department of medicine, the primary mission which separates us from all other clinical settings and industries is that of education," Dr. Jennifer Olges, director of the UofL Internal Medicine Residency program said.

Joining Olges were other residency and fellowship directors to honor individual award winners, and to also thank the trainees and wish them well as they continue their medical careers in various academic and private practice opportunities.
