Bachelor of Science in Justice Administration / Criminal Justice - Online
Our Bachelor's degree is designed so students may complete the degree 100% online, through our partnership the Kentucky Community College Technical System (KCTCS). Our 2+2 program with KCTCS has two options: First, completion of the Associate in Applied Science in Criminal Justice (general education and criminal justice courses) or the recommended option, completion of the Associate in Arts (general education and criminal justice courses taken as electives). The Associate in Arts degree is recommended because upon completion of this degree you will be able to transfer to UofL as a fully general education certified student with no additional general education requirements to complete. Upon transfer to UofL you then take the additional required and elective criminal justice courses as well as upper-level requirements to complete your Bachelor of Science in Justice Administration / Criminal Justice.
Throughout the program, you will be actively engaged in the learning process as you gain theoretical knowledge and applied skills.
The following are core competencies of the curriculum.
- A working knowledge of the entire criminal justice process (adult and juvenile) and the issues surrounding each portion of the process.
- Ability to make linkages between theory and policy development in the criminal justice system.
- Ability to understand, identify, and apply legal issues relative to the criminal justice system (adult and juvenile).
