Come for the AOC, Stay for the College Degree!

Enrollment in and graduation from the Administrative Officer’s Course (AOC) in the Southern Police Institute and then enrolling in the Masters’ Degree On-Line Program in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Louisville meets the following description of the model of police education recommended by the President’s Task Force on 21^st Century Policing (2015, p. 55):

The U.S. Department of Justice should develop, with institutions of higher education, a national post-graduate institute of policing for senior executives with a standardized curriculum preparing them to lead agencies in the 21^st century.

With the combination of our programs at the University of Louisville, this recommendation has been met.
