Ida B. Wells Award

Presented to the BS CJ  Degree candidate who has overcome personal hardships and persevered to graduation. The recipient is selected by the faculty and may not be awarded every year.  The award is named for Ida B. Wells, an early civil rights activist and journalist who led the American Anti-Lynching crusade.
