Individual programs and program providers will have different deadlines. Be sure you are paying attention to their deadlines as well as UofL deadlines. Typically, students apply to study abroad a term or two ahead of time.
Cardinals Abroad Portal Deadlines & Orientation Dates:

Pre-Departure Orientation is required of all students and is held at the end of each semester on Reading Day. This is an important meeting to help you prepare for your study abroad experience. We will discuss a range of topics from the practical (packing, finances, communications) to the cultural (culture shock, health and safety concerns, interpersonal relationships).
*Any student applying after the deadline may require additional time to complete processing, once your application is received in the Cardinals Abroad Portal. This information is not provided to deter you from applying; it is to inform you of processing time.
