Celebrating CEHD Faculty, Caroline Sheffield, for Fulbright Award to Latvia

We are thrilled to celebrate Dr. Caroline Sheffield for her leadership and contributions to society. Dr. Sheffield is an associate professor of social studies education in the Department of Elementary, Middle & Secondary Teacher Education and has been awarded a prestigious Fulbright award to serve as a Fulbright Specialist in Riga, Latvia this summer. 

During her stay, Dr. Sheffield will be teaching 20-25 practicing Latvian social studies and history teachers for three weeks in June at the University of Latvia. The Fulbright Program is devoted to increasing mutual understanding between the people of the United States and the people of other countries. As a grantee, Dr. Sheffield will join the ranks of many distinguished program participants. 

The Fulbright Program is the world's largest and most diverse international educational exchange program, and Dr. Sheffield's selection as a Fulbright Specialist is a great honor. Her dedication to social studies education and her passion for helping students will undoubtedly make a significant impact on the social studies and history teachers she will be teaching. 

Overall, Dr. Sheffield's Fulbright award is a testament to her achievements and her commitment to enhancing global understanding through education. We congratulate her on this well-deserved recognition and wish her all the best in her upcoming travels.
