Join the Sport Administration Association, our student-run career development organization. You can serve in a leadership position, benefit from sport industry guest speakers, and go on semester trips to nearby sport metropolitan areas. Find your next internship or land a new job at our SPAD career networking events. Gain event management experience by organizing the annual Sport Administration Career Fest. Throughout the academic year, the SPAD Association welcomes various industry professionals to campus through their monthly speaker series. This serves as a great networking opportunity for students and allows sporting professionals to share their personal insight into the industry. In addition to speakers, the association organizes a trip in the fall for students to meet with successful professionals within the sports industry. The SPAD Association has traveled to Chicago, Nashville, Indianapolis, and Atlanta, meeting with various sports teams, clubs, and associations. In the spring, the association hosts its annual Career Fest, attracting over 100 students and 20 vendors.
SPAD students participate in numerous community engagement and volunteer experiences around Louisville. Over the past year, students have volunteered with the Derby City Cup, ESPN College Game Day, the Louisville Cross Country Classic, and Ironman Louisville. Various classes partner with organizations such as the Louisville Bats, Louisville City FC, the Louisville Sports Commission, and Football Without Borders.
