Modeling - High School

What is the "Modeling" instructional strategy?

With "Modeling", the teacher engages students by showing them how to perform a skill while describing each step with a rationale.  This provides students with both a visual and verbal example of what they will be expected to do.

What are the "High School" context videos?

The High School videos focus on the application of the entire range of Primary Level strategies to students in High school classroom settings. The videos represent a cross section of student abilities, instructional focus, and group sizes.

The following is a list of all of the Primary Level training videos  involving the "Modeling" instructional strategy within a High School context that are available for viewing.

(NOTE: All videos are in a streaming WMV file format, and clicking on the "Play video" link will open up Windows Media Player on your computer. Instructions for playing WMV files on a Macintosh computer can be found on this web page.)
