Ryan Rathmann – Manager International Learning

Ryan earned an M.A. in Humanities and Cultural Policy from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in English and German from Humboldt State University. He has worked at the CEHD since 2017 and came to us from Georgia State University where he served as Director of Study Abroad Programs. Ryan has traveled extensively around the world and has led countless student groups to countries where they study and expand their global understanding of other cultures, education, and business practices. International Learning Experiences (ILEs) are designed to meet students' degree program needs--whether they are studying teacher education, mental health counseling, or organizational development and leadership.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop, direct and coordinate the international learning program for the CEHD
  • Coordinate the operational procedures of the international program including all reservations for each traveler and faculty members, visits to schools, businesses, universities, etc., and cultural and historical tours
  • Work with CEHD faculty to create lesson plans for study abroad
