The committee approved changes to the requirements for admission to the major and minor in Psychology and to the conditions for completion of a degree (including the minor) in Psychology.
The new admission requirements will read:
“Admission to the major or minor in Psychology requires (1) completion of Psychology 201 (or approved substitute) with a minimum grade of C; (2) completion of the General Education mathematics requirement; (3) completion of Psychology 301 (or approved substitute) with a minimum grade of C; (4) completion of 30 hours of degree-applicable credit with a minimum grade point average of 2.0; and (5) a minimum grade of C-in all courses used to meet departmental requirements in the Psychology major.”
The new conditions for successful completion of the major will read:

Requirements for admission to and completion of the minor in Sociology were approved to read:
“Admission to the minor in Sociology requires (1) completion of Sociology 301 with a grade of C or better; (2) a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.0; and (3) a minimum grade point average of 2.0 in any courses in Sociology. The Theory Requirement in the minor was changed from a requirement of HUM 509 or 510 to a requirement of HUM 509, 510, 591, 592, 593, 594, 595, or 596 and the requirement was re-named “Interdisciplinary Seminar.”
