The minutes of the meeting of December 7, 2011, were approved as distributed.
The committee continued the discussion of the proposal for PEAC 350: Basic Mediation with Professor Vanderbroucke and Professor Belak, the instructor. The committee requested additional information on the grading practices in the course.
Professor Kolers responded to questions regarding the proposal to move the course inventory in Social Change under the PEAC rubric.
Professor Hua presented the proposal for a B.A. in Asian Studies. The proposal was approved contingent on modification of the degree requirements to add 6 hours at the 300-level in either Chinese or Japanese language.
Due to time the committee deferred decisions on the Peace Studies and Social Change proposals for its next meeting.
