The minutes of the meetings of January 12 and January 26 were approved as distributed.
The following course actions were approved, effective Summer 2012.
- COMM 340: Introduction to Strategic Communication (new course)
- COMM 436: Health Communication Campaign Planning (upper-level WR credit)
- HIST 641: Seminar in Modern World History (new course)
- GEOG 641: Research Design (prerequisite change)
- GEOG 529: Geography of Urban Issues (new course: approval conditional upon syllabus reflecting more clearly the expectation for graduate credit and the graduate student assignments)
- IHS 401: Cooperative Internship in International Health Studies (HUM)
- IHS 402: Cooperative Internship in International Health Studies (SS)
- IHS 403: Cooperative Internship in International Health Studies (NS)
- IHS 405: Independent Study in International Health Studies (HUM)
- IHS 406: Independent Study in International Health Studies (SS)
- IHS 407: Independent Study in International Health Studies (NS)
- (Numbers were created to reflect credit in each of the divisional areas, to be used depending upon the faculty member with whom the student is working.)
The committee discussed guidelines for Culminating Undergraduate Experience Courses (CUE), which will be presented to the Faculty Assembly for approval.
