Graduate certificate program proposals in Asian Studies and in Public History were approved.

Action was deferred on HIST /WGST 584:Women in East Asia, pending receipt of a new syllabus reflecting the comprehensive content of the course.

Action was deferred on ML 350: The Literary Fairy Tale, pending a decision on cross-listing the course in Humanities.

The following course actions were approved, effective Summer 2009.

MTED 591: Topics in Mathematics for In-service Teachers (new course)

ENGL 677: Assessing and Responding to Student Writing (delete)

HUM 355: Issues in Contemporary Christian Thought (title/description change)

HUM 341: Religions of India (title/description change)

HUM 343: East Asian Religions (title/description change)

COMM 670: Directed Readings (new course)
