A&S; Curriculum Committee Minutes, 08/20/02

Members Present: G. Barnes, A. Kolers, R. Luginbill, M.Rohmann, E. Segal, W-B. Zeng, R. Taylor

Guests: Dean James Brennan

Dean Brennan spoke briefly about some of the curricular issues he foresaw for the coming academic year and about the budget situation. He discussed the possibility of exploring modifications of the academic calendar that would equalize offerings throughout the year, although he did not anticipate such changes for AY 03-04.

Professor Segal was elected chair of the committee.

Professor Barnes was chosen to represent the committee on the General Education Course Committee.

The committee designated 12:00-1:30 on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of each month for its meetings, beginning on September 10.
