SEPTEMBER 3, 1996

Professor Morrill, Chair, called the meeting to order at 9:05.
The minutes of the meetings of March 22, April 19, and April 26, 1996, were approved, with typographical corrections.
A petition for waiver of the minimum hours requirement for graduation with honors was denied.
Discussion of a proposal from the Department of Communication regarding cross-counting of general education/division requirements was tabled for additional information.
The following curriculum actions were approved, effective 97U unless otherwise noted.

PSYC 685: Clinical Psychology Practicum and PSYC 785: Clinical
Psychology Practicum in Professional Settings were approved for a
change of grade-type FROM letter grade TO pass/fail.
HON 399: Overseers' International Seminar was approved as a new course. It is a one credit hour, P/F course designed for students participating in a College Scholars Seminar which involves an international travel component. EFFECTIVE 97S.
PARA 320: Computers and the Law was approved as a new course. EFFECTIVE 97S.
JA 497: Senior Honors Seminar and JA 498: Senior Honors Seminar- -WR were approved as new courses. EFFECTIVE 97S.
JA 597: Ethics in Criminal Justice was approved as a new course, pending receipt of additional information regarding the differences in work required for graduate and undergraduate credit.
