CURRICULUM COMMITTEE MINUTES

Professor Morrill called the meeting to order at 2:05 pm. The minutes of the meetings of January 29 and February 26, 1997, were approved as distributed. The Committee offered congratulations to Meg Rohmann on her selection as the UofL Outstanding Academic Advisor for 1997. JA 597: Ethics in Criminal Justice was approved for WR credit, retroactive to 97S. POLS 355: Intro to Middle East Politics was removed from the list of WR-approved courses, effective 97F. The committee approved a revision to the definition of cross- cultural courses for the General Education requirement. The revised definition makes clear that courses dealing with minority cultures within the United States or Canada are eligible for cross-cultural approval. The new definition will be forwarded to the A&S; Faculty Assembly for final action. The meeting was adjourned at 2:40 pm.
