This resource page is designed to connect students with the tools, services and support systems that promote academic achievement, personal well-being and a successful college experience. From tutoring and writing support to financial aid, health services and career coaching, the University of Louisville offers a comprehensive range of programs to ensure that every student has access to the opportunities they need to thrive. Academic Advising at the University of Louisville is an ongoing, intentional, educational partnership dedicated to student academic success. It is to your advantage to meet with your academic advisor at least once a semester and to know your advisor well.
The Center for Engaged Learning (CEL) collaborates with campus, community and industry partners to expand engaged learning opportunities for undergraduate students inside and beyond the classroom. The CEL celebrates diversity and pursues equitable opportunities for all students to participate in high-quality experiences.
REACH (Resources for Academic Achievement) cultivates a learner-centered experience for undergraduate success by empowering students to take an active and collaborative role in their learning through personalized and structured tutoring, coaching, intervention courses and programs, study groups and workshops.

The University Writing Center serves everyone in the UofL community, including undergraduates, graduate students, faculty and staff. We can help you at any point in your writing process, from getting started with an idea, to working on a first draft, to revision and copyediting. We are not an editing service, but we can help you become a better writer. If it involves writing, we are happy to work with you on it.
Through fundraising and food drives, the Commonwealth Credit Union Cardinal Cupboard increases accessibility to food and health products to members of the Cardinal community in an effort to reduce their financial burden. The Commonwealth Credit Union Cardinal Cupboard is open to all members of the Cardinal community (students, staff and faculty). Please bring your Cardinal Card ID with you during your visit. Need assistance outside of normal business hours? Try our Grab & Go food packages.
The Free Store is a space for the ongoing free exchange of clean, functional, durable items like clothing, shoes, accessories, housewares and kitchen items, linens, bath/beauty/cleaning supplies, electronics, small appliances, books, school and art supplies and more.
In recognition of disability as an important part of the diversity of our community, the Disability Resource Center fosters an inclusive campus climate through education, service, collaboration and outreach to the University of Louisville community. We provide support for students with documented disabilities by promoting equal access to all programs and services.
The University Career Center educates students through the exploration of career interests, values and skills. Dedicated and collaborative coaching, programming and events allow students to enter the working world prepared to thrive in an ever-changing, diverse and global community.
Counseling Center
If you are in crisis or need to speak with someone urgently, please call us at 502-852-6585 M-F or walk in between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. (when the center is open) for an urgent consultation, and we will assign a clinician to speak with you as soon as possible. We do not schedule appointments for urgent consultations (UCs), so please call or walk in when you are ready to speak with a clinician.
Please note that UC services are provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Our busiest time is 2-4 p.m. You will need time to complete paperwork and see or receive a callback from a clinician, and we do not schedule appointments for UCs. We may have to call you back/see you on the following day if there are several students ahead of you.
The Dean of Students Office provides a variety of support services for our students, faculty and staff, including absence notifications, academic grievances, personal crisis assistance and withdrawals. Additionally, the office is responsible for maintaining and communicating the Code of Student Conduct and the Code of Students Rights and Responsibilities. As a student at the University of Louisville, you commit to upholding our community standards.

Our mission is to promote and enhance the university’s goals by creating a community that appreciates global interdependence. UofL's Student Success Center (SSC) supports every UofL undergraduate student throughout the college experience. We're here with a wide variety of resources and programs to support students by addressing concerns in areas including advising, academics, financial well-being and belonging. Whether a student is in need of a laptop, exploring a new major, facing a financial barrier or simply looking for a peer who's been there before, the SSC is the place to turn. Our purpose is to help every UofL undergraduate student succeed here and beyond.
Our mission is to support and enhance students' educational experience by providing clinically excellent, affordable and confidential integrated medical, mental, health promotion and violence prevention services as well as specialized healthcare services to the general University community. Utilizing an ecological health model, we assist the University community in achieving academic and life goals.
PEACC provides confidential advocacy to students, faculty and staff who have been impacted by interpersonal violence, sexual assault and stalking, in addition to providing prevention education.
Escort Services
The ULPD offers safety escorts free to any member of the UofL community from dusk to dawn every day of the year. The service can be obtained by calling 502-852-6111. When calling, be prepared to state your name and campus location for an officer to be dispatched to meet you. Safety escorts during daylight hours are provided when documented safety concerns exist. We are able to accompany anyone on either the Belknap or HSC campuses for a boundary of up to 4 blocks off campus. On ShelbyHurst, we are able to accompany you within the campus perimeter only.
