Kentucky Racing Health Services Center
Serving Health Care Needs of the Backside Workers

The Kentucky Racing Health Services Center (KRHSC) is a not-for profit center funded by the Kentucky Racing Health and Welfare Fund (KRHWF). The center was started as a joint venture between the fund and the University of Louisville to provide comprehensive health care services to the backside workers of the thoroughbred racing industry. The KRHSC saw its first patient in April of 2005 and has seen a tremendous growth in utilization over the past two and a half years.
The KRHSC offers free care to individuals who are currently employed as backside workers, as well as their family members. Individuals need to complete a brief eligibility form with the KRHWF.
