Did You Know?

The College of Arts & Sciences’ Center for Geographic Information Sciences houses the Audwin and Rae Helton Center for GIS Laboratory made possible through a gift from the Heltons, and featuring 22 state-of-the-art GIS workstations. The center performs GIS training, custom map development, map publication, web mapping applications and geospatial data analysis.

Red Out at Shakespeare in the Park!
Please join the College of Arts and Sciences, the UofL Alumni Association, and Kentucky Shakespeare for UofL Night on July 23. UofL Professor Emerita Rinda Frye will discuss Shakespeare’s "Magical Metaphysical Theatre" at 7:15 p.m. followed by The Tempest at 8 p.m. Dessert trucks and a cash bar will be on site. Teaching, Research, Creative Activities & Service

Poster session of summer undergraduate research
Undergraduate students will present the results from their 10-week summer research experiences. Participants in the Biology REU, Cancer Education R25, KBRIN, Physiology Cardiovascular, SROP, Cancer Center High School students, and students supported by faculty grants will present from noon to 3 p.m. on July 30 at Kosair Charities, CTRB Lobby, HSC. Prof. Olinger to give keynote at UMich conference
Finishing up her first year teaching in the College of Arts & Sciences, Prof. Andrea Olinger (English) has been invited to be a keynote speaker at the International Writing across the Curriculum Conference at the University of Michigan in June 2016.
