American Association of University Women (AAUW)
- Ideal applicant is female who is involved in research.
- $2,000 available for medical students involved in cardiology research (MD/PhD's not eligible).
- Variety of awards available to currently enrolled medical students.
American Medical Women's Association
- AMWA awards 4 (four) $1000 scholarships to women currently enrolled in medical school.
- Amount is equal to each year's maximum Pell grant.
- Applicant is a member of an ethnic, racial, or other minority or any individual who demonstrates a defined commitment to issues of diversity within their community.
- Applicant is a U.S. citizen currently attending an accredited medical school within the United States.
- Academic achievement as reflected by a minimum 3.0 GPA and have completed at least one semester of classes at an accredited medical school.
Chinese American Medical Society
- Be an M1, M2, or M3 student. Must demonstrate financial hardship with letter from the dean.
- Georgia resident with academic merit and need.
Welsford and Mildred Clark Medical Memorial Scholarship
- For third year medical students who have resided in Connecticut for at least five years.
Daviess County Medical Society Alliance Scholarship
- Information available at Kentucky Medical Alliance or by contacting the society.
- 5 year prior residency of an Essex South community (Massachusetts) with a desire to return and practice in this area

Frank & Louise Groff Foundation
- Scholarships are limited to those students who have graduated from a public high school within Monmouth County, New Jersey (Renewable).
- Scholarship opportunities for LGBTQ graduate students
- The purpose of the scholarship is to support a student from Grayson County, Kentucky with medical school expenses in order for that student to successfully enter into a primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine practice with Owensboro Health, Inc. in Grayson County, Kentucky upon completion of his/her residency requirements.
Greater Louisville Medical Society
Indian Health Services Loan Repayment Program
- Participants agree to a two-year service commitment in a full-time clinical practice within specific healthcare disciplines at approved Indian health facilities. In return the loan repayment program awards up to $40,000 (plus up to $8,000 in tax allocations) in loan repayment funding.
International Order of the King's Daughters and Sons (IOKDS) Health Careers Scholarship
- Medical and dental students (in human medicine) who have completed their first year of an accredited medical/dental school are eligible to apply.
Japanese Medical Society of America (JMSA)
- Those eligible should demonstrate academic excellence, show a strong interest in the JMSA and achieving its goals, and propose a clear, achievable project that will benefit the JMSA and the Japanese community. Awards range from $2,500 up to $20,000.
Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia
- Five different loans/scholarship with varying criteria
- Must be enrolled in an accredited U.S. undergrad or graduate school program at least through the following year with intent to earn a degree that helps them qualify for professional healthcare licensure. Must be 18 years of age, U.S. citizen and a cumulative GPA of at least 3.5.

- Must be a Miami-Dade County H.S. graduate

Middlesex North District Medical Society
- Applicants must be a legal resident of one of the towns within Middlesex North District (Massachusetts)
- The Morgagni Medical Scholarship is only for incoming first year medical students. Students need to have an overall college GPA of at least 3.5, and be of Italian descent (at least 50% Italian).
- The amount awarded will be $10,000 over 4 years ($2,500 per year).
Mortar Board National Foundation Fellowship Awards
- Applicants must be current or former members of Mortar Board.
Muhlenberg Foundation Scholarships

National Health Services Corps Scholarship
- Scholarship requires 2 year service obligation and commitment to primary care.
- Underrepresented minority students enrolled in a US healthcare program enrolled in a US healthcare program with a demonstrated leadership ability and commitment to serving medical underserved communities
NMF Emergency Scholarship Fund
- The NMF Emergency Scholarship Fund is only open to underrepresented minority students who are US citizens, and enrolled in accredited medical or osteopathic medicine schools located in the US.
- Your submission will be a 750 to 1,000 word essay discussing emergency medical care from the perspective of a medical student.
NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship Program
- $7,500 scholarships are one-time non-renewable grants awarded to NCAA student athletes.
The Foundation of the Pennsylvania Medical Society Scholarships
