Vijaya Kadam Maruthi, MD is board-certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology by the American Board of Pathology. She graduated from Mysore Medical College and Research Institute in Mysore, India. She then completed two residencies in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology from Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology in Bengaluru, India and University at Buffalo in Buffalo, New York. Also, she worked as a research fellow at Mayo clinic, Rochester, Minnesota just before her residency at Buffalo. Recently, Dr. Kadam Maruthi completed her Gynecologic Pathology Fellowship from Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut.

Dr. Kadam Maruthi comes to us with years of experience working as a surgical pathologist at Bhagwan Mahaveer Jain Hospital, Triesta Reference Laboratory, HCG Cancer Hospital and Vydehi Institute of Higher Medical Sciences and Research Center in India. 

Dr. Kadam Maruthi has co-authored over six publications (four of which she is the first author) presented nine poster presentations and seven oral presentations. She is a member of the International Society of Gynecological Pathologists (ISGyP), International Society of Breast Pathology (ISBP), United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology (USCAP), American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP), College of American Pathologists (CAP) and Indian Association of Pathologists and Microbiologists (IAPM).

Her areas of interests are gynecologic pathology and breast pathology.
