Amy Holthouser, M.D., was selected as a fellow of the 2016-2017 class of the Hedwig van Ameringen Executive Leadership in Academic Medicine Program (ELAM).
Susan Galandiuk, M.D., has been named editor-in-chief of Diseases of the Colon and Rectum. Galandiuk also was elected vice president of the Society of Surgery of the Alimentary Tract (SSAT).
Heidi M. Koenig, M.D., has been named editor-in-chief of the Journal of Medical Regulation.
William Tse, M.D., has been named editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Transplantation Research and Medicine
Lori Wagner, M.D., has been elected to the National Steering Committee for AAMC Group on Women in Medicine and Science.
Stuart Williams, Ph.D., delivered the keynote address at The 2nd Saudi International Biotechnology Conference in Saudi, Arabia.
Charles R. Woods Jr., M.D., has been elected the incoming chair of the Executive Committee of the American Academy of Pediatrics’ (AAP) Section on Epidemiology, Public Health and Evidence (SOEPHE)

David Adamkin, M.D., has been elected to the NIV-INOMAX Advisory Board. He also has been selected to serve on the Optum Health Care Neonatal Advisory Panel Guidelines for Neonatal Care and has been appointed President of the Southeastern Association of Neonatologists

Nemr Eid, M.D., has been selected to serve as a member for the Scientific Steering Committee for Respiratory Effectiveness Group Summit and chair of the Board Review Course for Pediatric Pulmonology for the National American Academy of Pediatrics
Leah J. Siskind, Ph.D., has been selected as chair of the 51st Annual Southeastern Regional Lipid Conference, Nov. 9-11, 2016 in Cashiers, N.C.
Josh Sparks, M.D., has been selected for the Database Committee for Pediatric Heart Transplant Study Group and the planning committee for the Heart Failure and Transplant Track for World Congress of Pediatric Cardiology

Charles Woods, M.D., will serve as chair of the Section on Epidemiology, Public Health, and Evidence for the National American Academy of Pediatrics
Hidetoshi Masumoto, M.D., of the Department of Pediatrics, was lead author in an article published in Nature.com/scientific reports. The article, “The myocardial regenerative potential of three-dimensional engineered cardia tissues composed of multiple human iPS cell-derived cardiovascular cell lineages,” was published on July 20, 2016.
