Three McConnell Scholars complete Task Force Freshmen
(July 17, 2013) LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Freshman McConnell Scholars Travis Wilson, Kevin Grout and Victoria Allen completed a year-long leadership program at the University of Louisville that helps first-year students work directly with the Student Government Association.
As members of Task Force Freshmen, a mentoring program for students interested in pursuing student government positions in the future, the three Scholars worked alongside students on SGA’s Executive Branch, allowing them networking opportunities and hands-on experience. The trio also attended leadership seminars.
Wilson, Grout and Allen were part of a group of 28 freshmen invited to Task Force Freshmen following a competitive interview process last fall.
