McConnell Scholar named 2024 Homecoming Queen

Louisville, Ky. (October 24, 2024) – McConnell Scholar Logan Bibby ('25) was crowned the University of Louisville's 2024 Homecoming Queen.

Bibby was honored alongside Homecoming King Barnabas Ojo during the UofL-Miami football game on Saturday, October 19. The recognition came after being nominated by UofL's Society of Porter Scholars, participating in alumni-led interviews, and campaigning during the campus-wide voting process. Bibby was selected as a top 5 candidate alongside McConnell Scholar Allie Rose Phillips (' 25). Bibby was crowned by the 2023 Homecoming Queen and recent alumnus Paighton Brooks (' 24) and expresses gratitude towards her for showing her the true meaning of a queen and leader. 

"It is an honor to be crowned the 2024 Homecoming Queen for the University of Louisville. UofL has brought me many unforgettable experiences and the most wonderful community throughout my collegiate experience, and to be recognized in this way is a wonderful way to finish my career here," said Bibby. "I am proud to represent my community, student organizations, and family on the university stage, as each inspired me to seek this opportunity. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in my collegiate journey and helped me become the woman I am today!"

From Louisville, Ky., Bibby is an honors student at UofL studying communications, political science, Spanish, strategic communication, and social media. She serves as Programming Planning and Development Chair for Xi Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Communications Director for the Student Government Association, CONECT Peer Mentor, and PR/Communications Team for The Bird's Nest Student Marketing Agency.
