Nine graduate from McConnell Scholars Program
Nine McConnell Scholars will graduate May 14 from the University of Louisville. Their time as McConnell Scholars culminated with a “senior send-off” ceremony April 24 at the PNC Club at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium.
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and his wife, former U.S. Sec. of Labor Elaine Chao, spoke at the event.
The Center extends its congratulations to the following students on their undergraduate achievements and wishes them well on future endeavors.
- Victoria Allen, of Auburn, Ky., earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science. She will attend the University of Michigan Law School.
- Katie Cambron, of Springfield, Ky., earned a bachelor’s degree in business economics with minors in political science and finance. She will pursue a career in energy analytics and consulting.
- Kevin Grout, of Florence, Ky., earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science with a minor in economics. He will move to Washington, D.C. to work in the office of U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell.
- Philip Moore, of Louisville, Ky., earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and economics with minors in international business and Spanish. He will attend Northwestern Pritzker School of Law as a Wigmore Scholar.
- Natalie Smith, of Elizabethtown, Ky., earned a bachelor’s degree in English and political science with a minor in history. She will pursue a master’s degree in English literature in the United Kingdom.
- Connor Tracy, of Mayfield, Ky., earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. He will spend a gap year traveling and working before pursuing a graduate degree in public policy.
- Travis Wilson, of Burlington, Ky., earned a bachelor’s degree in economics and history with a minor in political science. He will attend University of Notre Dame Law School.
- Mary Elizabeth Young, of Louisville, Ky., earned a degree in English and Spanish with a minor in political science. She will join the Teach For America corps in Indianapolis.
- Chloe Zoeller, of Louisville, Ky., earned a bachelor’s degree in political science and Spanish. She received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship to Colombia.
