Barbara A. Perry, former judicial fellow at the U.S. Supreme Court and a McConnell Center Non-Resident Fellow, will examine Jacqueline Kennedy’s tenure as First Lady on a one-hour segment of C-SPAN2 Book TV. The broadcast will air Sunday, April 17, at 3 p.m. EST.

Perry highlights her recent book, "Jacqueline Kennedy: First Lady of the New Frontier," and recounts the transformative effect Mrs. Kennedy had on the office of the First Lady, from her renowned celebrity to her engagement in the arts and the championing of cultural institutions. Perry discusses Kennedy's time in the White House at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Building in Washington, D.C.

Perry is the author of The Priestly Tribe: The Supreme Court's Image in the American Mind and co-author of Freedom and the Court: Civil Rights and Liberties in the United States.
