Fellow’s book on political matriarch released
Perry’s book hit shelves July 15 and is available for purchase online.
With the help of Rose’s recently released personal letters and diaries, Perry separates truth from legend as she uncovers the true woman behind one of America’s most influential political families.
In her book, Perry explores how Rose strove to tailor her family’s public perception, which lead to the eventual political successes of Bobby, John and Teddy. Perry also details how Rose coped with the numerous misfortunes that plagued her life, which included compulsive shopping, travel and self-medication.
Perry, a McConnell Center Fellow, is a University of Louisville graduate and life-long fan of the Cardinals.
