Brandt, Bosley to highlight negative effects of Facebook on academic, personal life
University of Louisville student leaders Justin Brandt, student body president, and Tyler Bosley, chair of the McConnell Scholars Program, are part of a four-person, student-led panel describing the negative effects of Facebook on academic and personal life.
The presenters used behavioral modification techniques and the Paul-Elder critical thinking framework to design an intervention program to curb their own excessive Facebook usage and to develop more responsible social media habits.
Registration for the presentation is required. The event is coordinated and sponsored by the university's Delphi Center for Teaching and Learning.
