Ball receives 'Readers' Choice Award'
Jeremy Ball, a sophomore McConnell Scholar, has received the "Readers' Choice Award" for his popular blog piece, "Appreciating Appalachia: It's Not What You Think." In the piece, Ball addressed the New York Times article that labeled his home, Clay County, the most unlivable place in the United States.
The McConnell Center's "Readers' Choice Award" is presented each semester to the McConnell Scholar with the most visited blog on "The McConnell Center Life."
Ball studies political science and history at the University of Louisville, where he also serves on the Student Orientation Staff. He is a graduate of Clay County High School.
