Allen earns UofL history scholarship
Victoria Allen (’16) was recently awarded the UofL Department of History’s Harry L. and Cecilia H. Smith Endowed scholarship, an award that recognizes history majors with outstanding records of achievement.
Awarded by the department chair and director of undergraduate studies, the $1,400 scholarship can be used toward books and tuition.
Allen, of Auburn, Ky., is studying political science, history and women and gender studies at UofL. In addition to the McConnell Scholars Program, she is the president of UofL’s College of Arts and Sciences, facilities manager of Chi Omega Sorority and a university Cardinal Ambassador.
