Professor Rothstein to give a number of presentations this year to mark ADA’s 25th anniversary
Professor Laura Rothstein will give two presentations at the Legal Issues Conference on April 30, hosted by Mississippi State University. They include “Disability Rights and Practice: ADA Overview and Update” and “The ADA and Fraternity/Sorority Life.”
Professor Rothstein is scheduled to give a number of presentations this year to mark the 25th anniversary of the American Disabilities Act. July 26 marks the official anniversary of the passage of the ADA.
Professor Rothstein's other national presentations will include the Stetson Conference on Higher Education Law and Policy, the ABA Section of Professional Responsibility, the National Law Review Conference, and SEALS. She will also be the opening plenary speaker for the Education Law Association conference in November.
Professor Rothstein has already presented this year as an invited faculty speaker at Mercer Law School, Stetson Law School, UNLV College of Law, and Georgia State University College of Law. She served on a panel at the April Kentucky Bar Association Diversity Conference on issues affecting lawyers and law students with disabilities and at the University of Louisville at its Disability Awareness Week and Transformation Tea events, also in April.
