Professor Nicholson to serve as panelist in Cuba on 'Building a Corporate Infrastructure'
Professor Lisa Nicholson is getting ready to travel to Cuba to serve as a panelist at an event titled, "Pathways to Building a Corporate Infrastructure in Cuba." It will be held at the Parque Central Hotel in Havana, Cuba, on July 24.
This panel will discuss the challenges faced by emerging private economies in developing the language of business and gaining comfort with the often intangible value propositions that large and small businesses alike understand in developed economies such as those in the United States and Western Europe.
Professional Nicholson will be introducing our Cuban colleagues to U.S. and Western European concepts of the principles of agency, shared liability, and personal liability protection through business associations, including corporations, LLCs, LLPs, partnerships. She will also discuss how to deal with the inevitable arrival of foreign business lawyers who represent international business partners drawn to Cuba’s new and growing economy.
