Law School Professors appointed to Chairs
Congratulations to Professor Timothy S. Hall and Professor Lisa H. Nicholson who commenced appointments in two prestigious Chairs at Louis D. Brandeis School of Law.

He became the 14th Solicitor General of the United States under President Taft, before leaving politics and going on to be an active banker, author, and professor at Harvard, as well as continuing as a lawyer. The Chair was established by his grandson, Lowry Watkins Jr. Professor Nicholson will hold the chair until October 31st 2027.
Professor Timothy S. Hall is the new Herbert F. Boehl Chair in Law & Health Policy, also until October 31st 2027. Previously held by Professor Mark Rothstein, the Chair was established in 1998 from the estate of Herbert F. Boehl, a 1918 graduate of the Law School. The Boehl Chair in Law & Health Policy provides expertise on the legal dimensions of health policy issues, giving interdisciplinary assistance to colleagues in the health sciences to foster team-based research.
