Jennifer Wintergerst ('99) selected to Leadership Louisville's Class of 2016
Jennifer L. Wintergerst, an attorney at Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs LLP and a 1999 Brandeis School of Law graduate, has been selected to the Leadership Louisville Center’s Bingham Fellows Class of 2016.
According to a news release, the Bingham Fellows is the leadership-in-action arm of the Leadership Louisville Center. The Bingham Fellows Class of 2016 will focus its efforts on “Empowering Citizens to Live Healthier Lives,” which will allow participants to work together to enhance healthy behaviors in Greater Louisville.
Wintergerst is a Partner in the Firm. She concentrates her practice in the area of health care law with an emphasis in regulatory compliance, Medicare and Medicaid billing compliance and claims litigation, Medicare and Medicaid provider enrollment, governmental audits and investigations, RAC, MIC and ZPIC audits and appeals, false claims litigation, long-term care investigations and defense, and the development of compliance plans for physicians, hospitals and long-term care facilities. She also assists providers with disciplinary actions before regulatory boards and with HHS/OIG exclusion and reinstatement. She is licensed to practice law in Kentucky and Florida, and is based in Wyatt’s Louisville office.
Wintergerst is a Healthcare Fellow of the Health Enterprises Network and a member of the American Health Lawyers Association. Additionally, she serves on the Board of Directors for Green Hill Therapy, a nonprofit organization which integrates occupational, physical and speech therapy with hippotherapy and aquatherapy. She has been recognized as a Kentucky Super Lawyers Rising Star.
Wintergerst earned her undergraduate degree from Indiana University, Phi Beta Kappa, and her law degree from the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law, cum laude.
