Dr. Jessica Belue Buckley

Dr. Jessica Belue Buckley
received a B.A. in American Studies from the University of Virginia, an M.Ed. in Higher Education & Student Affairs Administration from the University of Vermont, and a Ph.D. in College Student Personnel from the University of Maryland. Her research interests broadly concern environmental sustainability and social justice in higher education. Before coming to Louisville, she worked for NASPA as a Fellow for Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement initiatives. Her experience in student affairs administration ranges from orientation to academic advising to residence life. Personally, Jess loves running, yoga, music of all kinds, hot tea, and reading Calvin & Hobbes. She is the proud mom of two and partner of a fellow UofL faculty member.

Cody Davidson

Cody Davidson
I have an undergraduate degree from Georgetown College, two Master degrees from Gardner-Webb University, and a doctorate degree from the University of Louisville. I have more than a dozen academic journal articles published in journals such as: Community College Journal of Research and Practice, Journal of Student Financial Aid, Higher Education Policy, Journal of College Student Retention: Research, Theory & Practice, Journal of Continuing Higher Education, and Kentucky Journal of Higher Education Policy and Practice and more than a half dozen under review. I recently co-authored a book chapter titled “Meet Me at The Commons: A Field Guide to the Common Core Standards in Higher Education” and have been asked to author a chapter in a second publication. I currently serve on two journal’s editorial boards: Journal of Student Financial Aid and College Student Affairs Journal. I have presented at the Association for the Study of Higher Education (ASHE) in Long Beach, Toronto, Charlotte, St. Louis and my work is being presented this year in Denver. I am an avid runner and have completed an ultra or traditional marathon in the following states: Maryland, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina.

Robert (Bob) L. Fritz

Robert (Bob) L. Fritz
has over thirty years successful business management, human resource and organization development experience helping organizations achieve and sustain profitable growth by identifying and dissolving organizational barriers that prevent or slow change. As a Senior Consultant with Resources Global an international consulting firm, Bob led a T&D and change management project state wide implementing a new business system and training over 2000 people in the insurance industry. Previously, Bob has held positions as Vice-President, Consulting Services, Right Management and HR Director for Commercial and Government Systems (C&GS) and Asia Pacific Training and Development Director, Eastman Kodak Company.

Dr. Girdley

Dr. Angela Girdley
has been in higher education her entire career. She began as director of a faith-based student organization. Then, after completing her PhD from the University of Louisville in 2003, she became a faculty member for the graduate school at Sullivan University. She also served as Sullivan’s Director of Institutional Research for 6 years. Dr. Girdley has been an ad hoc faculty member in the ELEOD department since 2004, teaching classes in Higher Education Administration.

Dr. Girdley plays violin in a community orchestra and fiddle in a country band. She also enjoys biking, tennis, hiking and gardening.

 

Bill Hensley

Bill Hensley, Ph.D.
is the Director of Education for the National Endowment for Financial Education® (NEFE®) where he directs the grant-making, innovative thinking, research, college, web, and consumer education programs for the foundation. Hensley joined NEFE in 2010 and has since managed a national teacher professional development enterprise, the foundation’s research agenda, and several financial literacy initiatives that seek to increase the financial well-being of all Americans. Prior to joining NEFE, Hensley was a Research Fellow at the University of Cincinnati, and has held positions at KnowledgeWorks Foundation, the Ohio College Access Network, Hiram College and Union College. His primary research interests are interpersonal growth and development, teacher professional development and assessment, the socio-cultural influences on behavioral choices, curriculum design, and the facilitation of social change through philanthropy. Hensley is the recipient of the Rising Star Alumni Award from Union College, where he earned a BS and an MA, received the Outstanding Doctoral Student of the Year Award in Educational Studies from the University of Cincinnati where he earned a PhD, and has published in several educational research journals.

Ray Klein

Ray Klein
is a working Director of Human Resources teaching in the Organizational Leadership and Learning, OLL, Bachelor's Degree program. Ray has extensive management experience in the areas of sales, marketing, merchandising, and supply chain. For the past 15 years, Ray has served as a human resources senior leader in a Fortune 100 company and in higher education.

Ray has taught 5 different courses in the OLL degree program with the majority of his work being in the areas of Human Resource Fundamentals, Organizational Change, and Conflict Management. He is a graduate of U of L with a Master's in Human Resource Education from the College of Education. He is proud that he completed his degrees as a working adult and believes that this experience adds to his effectiveness with the cohort to which he feels particularly drawn, that of the mid-career adult learner.

Ray is the parent of two children, daughter Maggie, age 17, and son, Nicholas, 10, who live with him and provide daily joy, love, and laughter. He believes that, although he is honored to have worked for great organizations, the role of parent is the best and most important job in which he has served. He has been known to occasionally admit to learning leadership skills through his role of parent that have applicability to the study of organizations.

Christine Wiggins-Romesburg

Christine Wiggins-Romesburg
is a Ph.D. Candidate specializing in Human Resource Development in department’s Educational Leadership and Organization Development program. Her current research relates to human resource and organizational development in agriculture. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, she earned a M.S. in Human Resource Education at UofL, and a B.S. in Economics at Clemson University. Christine currently works as the university's General Education Assessment Coordinator. Before graduate school, Christine gained considerable experience as a human resource manager for a medium-sized and multi-state corporation, and as construction manager overseeing a diverse portfolio of luxury residential properties. Courses taught or co-taught include: Needs Assessment (311), Diversity in the Workplace (411), Evidence Based Research in HROD (617), Organizational Change and Consulting (664), and Human Resource Management (EM 694).

Kathryn Zeitz

Kathryn Zeitz
is principal of Waggener High School, where she has successfully led a faculty and staff out of state identified priority status after three years of extensive school turnaround work. She began her career as a high school teacher and teacher leader, and as an administrator she served as president of both the Jefferson County Associations of School Administrators and Assistant Principals. She is the recipient of the High School Assistant Principal of the Year Award, the Russell Garth Leadership Award, and the Hilliard Lyons Schools of Excellence Priority School Principal Award for Best School Turnaround. She was selected for the Principal Institute Cohort at the Center for Creative Leadership, and has presented at AASA and UCEA National Conferences on partnerships and school turnaround. She is actively involved as a priority school principal coach, a network Ford Next General Learners Implementation Coach, Younger Women’s Club member, and has served as lead for SACS accreditation of multiple schools throughout Kentucky. Ms. Zeitz acquired her Ed.D. from the University of Louisville with a research focus on the relationships between turnaround model, leadership, and student achievement. Her husband, Tony, is a Louisville firefighter. The couple has two daughters, Mary Kate and Brogan, who attend St. Matthews Elementary.
