Dr. Hilaria Cruz’s Featured for Work on Chatino Orthography in Duolingo

Hilaria Cruz, assistant professor of comparative humanities in the College of Arts and Sciences, is a linguist and a native speaker of the Chatino language spoken in Oaxaca, Mexico. She teaches Native American religions and linguistics and was recently featured for her work on Chatino orthography in Duolingo.
