Alumni Share Career Insights and Foster Connections at UofL Events
April 15, 2024
This month five alumni from the College of Arts & Sciences led an energizing and engaging panel discussion for an audience of undergraduate and graduate students focused on their diverse pathways from an Arts & Sciences degree to a rewarding career. The panel featured Jennifer Brinkley (fine arts), Chick-Fil-A; Jeff Hay, (physics), RDI Technologies; MK Lindsey (political science), Crawford Hoying; Mike Schuler, (philosophy), Watershed Guidance Management Consulting; and Dawne Gee (biology and communication), WAVE 3. Many thanks to these alumni for generously sharing their time, wisdom, and experiences with today’s students and demonstrating what a rich network they are joining as future UofL graduates. We could not have asked or a more authentic event showcasing the power of an arts and sciences degree and what’s possible here and beyond! More Alumni Careers Panel are on the horizon: if you are interested in participating and engaging with our students, please contact Julie Wrinn at julie.wrinn@louisville.edu.
Later that day, the College held its 2nd Annual Scholarship Luncheon, where students and their benefactors had an opportunity to meet, trade stories, and foster connections among diverse generations of UofL graduates. It’s incredibly rewarding for scholarship donors to see the impact of their giving in these dynamic students, especially as more than a few of them were scholarship recipients themselves back in the day! That virtuous circle is strengthened each year at the Scholarship Luncheon.
