Dean-appointed A&S Staff Morale ad hoc committee met for the first time to discuss issues related to morale in the College |
January |
A&S Staff Workshop to discuss ad hoc committee's ideas regarding improving morale. One idea that emerged was the idea of staff-led and staff-run organization, a staff association. |
April |
A reference to an A&S Staff Association that is supposed to name a staff representative to the College's Planning & Budget Committee was found in the A&S standing rules. (II.D.1 and III.G.2.A) and was brought to the attention of A&S Staff Senators. Such a body was not currently active, nor was there any formal representative body for College staff to address College concerns. |

A&S Staff Senators emailed a survey to A&S staff to gauge interest in a Staff Association and to get volunteers to help with its re-creation. |
August |
First meeting of "founding" members. |
December |
First meeting of full A&S Staff Association; election of officers. |
