Teaching Innovation Award

This award will be presented to a full-time faculty member or team of faculty who have excelled in their implementation of innovative teaching practices. The award is intended to recognize and encourage the use of student-centered, evidence-based practices that enhance student learning.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE?

Full-time faculty. The nominee must not have previously won this specific award in the five preceding years.

WHAT IS AWARDED?

$400 and a framed certificate

CRITERIA

The following criteria will be considered in the selection process:

  • Use of student-centered, evidence-based pedagogy
  • Originality of the teaching strategy or the implementation
  • Impact on student learning or engagement
  • Potential for wider adoption within or among disciplines
  • Scalability

HOW TO NOMINATE

A single letter of nomination detailing success with the criteria listed above is required. No other materials will be considered. Please do not send additional letters or other types of evidence in support of the nomination. Self-nominations are encouraged.
