The University of Louisville has announced that the Office of Institutional Equity is now the Office of Access and Opportunity, reflecting a renewed commitment to advancing student success.

The new name emphasizes the University’s mission to expand access, create opportunity, and foster a sense of belonging so that every student is connected, supported, and empowered to thrive and reach their full potential.

The Office of Access and Opportunity provides administrative oversight for several key student-focused units, including the Center for Belonging, Access and Engagement; the Office of Health Equity and Engagement; the Disability Resource Center; the Center for Military-Connected Students; the LGBT Center; and the Women’s Center. Through these offices, students engage in programs that promote connection, community, professional growth, and personal development.

Together, these efforts strengthen the University’s culture of belonging and ensure that every Cardinal has the opportunity to succeed.
